Ujima Food Garden
Where Good Food Meets Purpose
Welcome to Ujima Food Garden (UFG): Kisumu’s hidden gem where great taste, social impact, and youth empowerment come together.
Nestled in a serene garden setting, UFG is more than a restaurant. It is a living classroom and social enterprise run by Ujima Foundation.
Here, students in hospitality and culinary arts gain hands-on experience in real restaurant operations. From kitchen to service, every dish served supports learning, growth, and opportunity. Many of our graduates proudly continued to work at UFG, making it a full-circle story of training, employment, and community impact.
Every visit helps nurture the next generation of hospitality professionals. UFG sources ingredients locally, values sustainability, and brings people together over unforgettable meals, which is true to its mission of combining culinary excellence with youth empowerment.
Whether you’re here for lunch, a family celebration, or to experience one of our themed food events, your meal directly supports skills training and local livelihoods.
Visit us in Kisumu or learn more on Tripadvisor and Facebook.
You can also find us easily on Google Maps and don’t forget to leave a review or give us direct feedback during your visit.
Enjoy some UFG Impressions
