Current Projects
Welcome to two new projects we are working on at the moment!

Gardening Project
🌱The Ujima Garden Project – Growing Sustainability Together
At Ujima, we already have something special — our Ujima Food Garden, a restaurant where delicious local meals are prepared and served by our talented graduates. During exam season, up to 30 culinary students spend several weeks in the kitchen, showcasing their skills and creativity.
Last year in December 2025 we created a small herb garden for the kitchen. These new additions are now supplying fresh ingredients and also raise awareness among our students and staff about how we can use our environment wisely and sustainably.
With your donations we have received 100€, from which we bought some high-beds (upcycled), seeds, plants and soil. Thank you for your support!

ICT Lab Re-Design
💻 A Fresh Start for the Ujima ICT Lab – Empowering Digital Learning
At Ujima, digital learning is a key part of preparing our students for the future. Our Computer Lab in Kisumu has served hundreds of learners over the years — but it’s starting to show its age. We’ve already applied for funding to receive new laptops, though there have been some hick-ups and we are still trying to solve them.
In the meantime, we made sure all computers and other hardware is working. The floor has also been redone, especially to ensure workplace safety and health. With a new design of the room, the atmosphere for learning has been improved.
Out next project is to purchase a television to use it for digital and blended learning teaching. Additionally, we plan to provide a resource corner with books and materials.
Thank you for 50€ which have been contributed for the purpose of our ICT training. If you can, please consider us for another donation, to make our work truly meaningful.
